Cockroach Lovers
Performance with Tobibi Bienz | Noname La Nature Festival, Liège | June 2025

Concept

Cockroach Lovers is a performance exploring the idea of humans becoming the landscape, merging body, space, and environment. I assisted in the performance and collaborated directly with Tobibi Bienz, who integrates themes of embodiment, transformation, and ecology into their work.

The collaboration began during the Sofia Porn Film Fest, which I co-coordinated, where I participated in their workshop and performed alongside them and other artists at Club Dom in Sofia. The project evolved into a public performance at Noname La Nature Festival in Liège, extending the exploration of human presence, movement, and relational dynamics within immersive environments.

Feathers
Needleplay performance by Kiki Kazimi & Ren | Peacock Garden Bordello Edition, October 2024

Concept

Feathers is a needleplay performance exploring the relationship between fragility, sensation, and intimacy. Building on an earlier performance where flowers were incorporated behind the needles to highlight delicate tension, this iteration uses feathers to create a lighter, more theatrical and sensual atmosphere in line with the bordello-themed setting.

The performance focuses on the body as a site of ritual and connection, combining physical precision with shared presence and interaction. The feathers add a sense of elegance and softness, contrasting with the tactile intensity of needleplay, emphasizing the balance between sensation, vulnerability, and playful eroticism.

An Invitation to Be Intrigued or to Look Away
Performance by Kiki Kazimi & Rick Jansen | Amsterdam Bangs Festival Closing Event, Vondelbunker | 2024

Concept

An Invitation to Be Intrigued or to Look Away explores the manifestation of a single entity divided into two bodies, one representing the physical Body and the other representing the Mind. In this performance, Rick embodied the Mind and I embodied the Body, remaining largely lifeless as he guided and moved me through the sequence. The gestures performed on me were symbolically performed on himself, creating a mirrored exchange of sensation, tension, and presence.

Within the context of BDSM, pain can be a means to process emotions, achieve a meditative state, or experience catharsis. This performance transforms pain into an intentional, consensual act, reframing the narratives our bodies hold. The work culminated with a moment of release, where I stood, screamed, and then both of us lay down again, emphasizing the cyclical interplay between agency, surrender, and shared embodiment.

The performance was accompanied by the noise/drone sound piece Frequencies of Sorrow by Dolorem, enhancing the immersive, contemplative environment. The sequence, referred to as “333,” was structured around three key events, emphasizing rhythm, duration, and relational tension between body and mind.

Blossoms
Needleplay performance by Kiki Kazimi & Ren | Peacock Garden Festival Summer Edition | 2024

Concept

Blossoms marked the first collaboration between Kiki Kazimi and Ren, setting the tone for their shared exploration of needleplay as both an aesthetic and ritual act. In this performance, fresh flowers were placed delicately behind the needles, creating a striking interplay between fragility and pain. The ephemeral beauty of the blossoms lent the work an ethereal atmosphere, transforming intensity into tenderness, severity into grace.

By merging vulnerability, endurance, and beauty, Blossoms invited the audience to witness the paradox of softness and sharpness, and how rituals of pain can open onto serenity.

Fears & Affections
By Tobibi Bienz | Performed at Club Dom, Sofia | 2024

Concept

In Fears & Affections, the performers abandoned individual identity to merge into a collective landscape, surrendering to the presence of cockroaches as they crawled across bodies. What began as a workshop led by Tobibi Bienz transformed into a visceral live performance at Club Dom, where participants explored the tension between fear, vulnerability, and intimacy.

Through this shared act, the boundaries between self and other dissolved, blurring the line between human and environment, disgust and tenderness. The performance asked: what does it mean to give your body over to something that unsettles you, and in doing so, become part of a living, shifting terrain?

k1nky noise
Performed at Vondelbunker, Amsterdam | November 2023
With Pink Treatment

Concept

Two otherworldly creatures came into a charged collision of sound and sensation. one half of pink treatment was shaping piezo mic feedback into a raw noisy courtship, while the other guided me through a series of physical encounters that blurred the line between dominance and vulnerability.

piezo microphones were attached both to the metal structure I was bound to and directly to my throat, amplifying my breath, vibrations, and the impact on my body. these sounds were woven live into the noise performance, so that my body and the machine became one resonant instrument.

the atmosphere felt bestial and alien, almost like a ritual courtship, something both erotic and unsettling.
