Concept
eX MarionXtte is a curious journey in which two former marionettes discover what it means to let loose of their strings and let their impulses guide them to places of enchanted entanglement.
Emma Grima and Kiki Kazimi are visual artists based in The Hague and Amsterdam, each uniquely specialising in creating art as a form of transformation and exploration, which intersect through the erotic. Their connection to pleasure activism brought them together to de-stigmatize topics in a stand for change. With their meeting of minds, they want to create environments for intimacy to be explored through a playful journey.
The film places emphasis on creating a physical environment that feels enchanting. The movements between the performers are sweet and playful, reflecting a need for joyous sexual exploration and a reclaiming of pleasure
